These photographs explore ideas of home and transmission by showing a few key images from a series of places. By limiting what is shown of a place, rather than exhaustively documenting each one, a sense of the whole is built through subjective association and memory. Though each viewer is meant to have a unique experience based on the associations drawn, the places chosen follow a loosely autobiographical line through places I've inhabited.
'Signal Nodes' refers to components of signal flow graphs, scientific diagrams which illustrate the flow of logic or control through a system, and is meant to reinforce the idea that looking at a few key areas can give an overall impression of the state of the whole. For example, in oncology, the lymphatic system's signal nodes serve as early warning beacons and allow doctors to see how far a cancer has spread through the body.
